This goes out to Tom. Yes, Google is evil. They will never remove a review, ever. The only way is to pay someone and even then it still might not work. Don’t forget to write a review about Google and give them one star! I don’t want my business even listed on Google but I have no say in it. They should give businesses the choice to have or not have reviews.

or delete your google business account if beeing repetitively trolled – we found Google does little about it.

Hi! Thanks for the info. I reviewed a place this morning and was angry then and I have since calmed down. I would like to remove the review I placed in anger (it was in defense of a child, so probably warranted) but still I would like to remove it. When I do as you instructed, the review is not showing up under Contributions and then Reviews. Do you have any thoughts about this? Does it take a certain amount of time for them to show up?

I just had a fake review removed from Google. It cost me 15$K for my lawyers to do this. Thanks Google! Google are evil.

So well written and 100% accurate. We have several clients with similar issues and where as all the advice in this article is correct there are several other options we are currently using with great success to help clients have fake reviews removed. Persistence and approach is key in most cases if all else fails

If I flag a review, does everybody see who flagged it?
i.e. I had a marketer come to my shop yesterday. After she left, she gave my company a 5-star review… but she also gave all my copetitors 5-star reviews. I would like to flag all her reviews because obviously they are all fake. BUT I don’t want my competitors to see ME as the flagger, then they will think I am just flagging their 5-star review and may retaliate in kind.

Any advice?

A company I have had the dreadful experience of using has mostly great reviews, funny thing is they are by people who lives hundreds of miles away and some have the same surname as the business owner. It is skip business, there is no way somewhere 200 miles away would use them. But of course these are the five star reviews, hidden amongst them are the true reviews, the owner is vicious and nasty – his skip drivers do damage and don’t own up to it, how to I get his fake reviews off google reviews and leave the genuine bad reviews on it!

Hi Migs Bassig! Great article. We have a customer that is unhappy about losing a PayPal battle with us and is posting absurd lies about our company. They have solicited all their friends and family to do so as well. None of the reviews are from actual customers and much of what they are saying is lies about employees/owners and not specific to their experience with us. The stuff written about our service is a repeat and rewording of the PayPal case that we have already beat with extensive documentation such as time stamped email communications and a signed contract. Any advice?

You always try to patch things up with a customer when they leave a negative review don’t just try to look for the easy way out and try to delete it. Reviews are left for a reason use it as an opportunity to improve your business. If it is a fake review then that is another matter and google should be able to help with that problem.
